Come and meet our Librarian, she is the front person of the library, but we are committee run, and all by volunteers. Please let us know if you wish to help on the committee or any other way as we do rely on your help. If you can sew or fix or have use (and know how to use) of a 3D printer we would love to hear from you. The committee meets at the Toy Library Feb - Nov, the second Wednesday of the month 7.30pm - 9pm.
Hi, I have been a part of the Whitby Toy Library since my 2 children were babies. I was just a Mum at the library, went onto the committee as a member, then took up the secretary job for a couple of years. When my children were grown and not using the library, I still had some younger ones I had care of, so I stayed apart of the library for another couple of years. Had a two year break away then was asked back as Librarian, and here I am! I love the fact that for a fraction of the "real" cost I could get many different toys for ages and stages and interest of the children. So many choices and some really different ones. Saving the planet of unwanted toys and my wallet. Hope to see you all soon.
